Fuse box diagrams (location, arrangement, functions, purpose) in the passenger compartment and engine compartment of the Acura TL (UA8 / UA9; 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014).

Checking and replacing fuses
If something electrical in your car stops working, the first thing you should check is a blown fuse. Use the chart or diagram on the fuse box cover or fuse label to determine which fuse or fuses control that component. Check those fuses first, but check all fuses before deciding that a blown fuse is not the cause. Replace the blown fuses and see if the unit works.
- Turn the ignition key to the LOCK (0) position. Make sure the headlights and all other accessories are off.
Models equipped with the keyless entry system have an engine start/stop button instead of an ignition switch. VEHICLE OFF (LOCK). This mode is equivalent to LOCK (0). - Remove the cover from the fuse box.
- Check each of the large fuses in the underhood fuse box by looking at the wire inside. Also check the combination fuse box in the underhood fuse box.
- Check the smaller fuses in the underhood fuse box and all fuses in the interior fuse boxes by pulling each one out with the fuse puller located on the back of the underhood fuse box cover.
- Find the blown wire inside the fuse. If it is blown, replace it with a spare fuse of the same rating or lower.
If you cannot drive the car until the problem is fixed and you do not have a spare fuse, get a fuse of the same or lower rating from one of the other circuits. Make sure you can temporarily bypass that circuit (for example, from an additional outlet). If you replace a blown fuse with a spare fuse of a lower rating, it may blow again. This does not mean that something is wrong. Replace the fuse with a fuse of the correct rating as soon as possible. - If a replacement fuse of the same rating blows in a short time, your vehicle likely has a serious electrical problem. Leave the blown fuse in that circuit and have your vehicle checked by a qualified technician.
Note
Replacing a fuse with a higher rating greatly increases the chance of damaging the electrical system. If you do not have a spare fuse with the correct rating for the circuit, install a fuse with a lower rating.
Your vehicle has spare fuses on the back of the underhood fuse box cover.
Passenger compartment
Fuse box diagram #1 in the passenger compartment.
The passenger compartment fuse box is located under the instrument panel on the driver’s side. The fuse label is located under the steering column. To access the fuse box, turn the knob on the cover a quarter turn and pull the front of the cover straight down to remove it from the instrument panel.
