Toll roads

No tolls are charged for the use of Azerbaijani roads for vehicles registered in other states.

Since August 16, 2014, Azerbaijan has tightened the requirements for the temporary import of vehicles that do not meet the Euro-4 environmental standard, which regulates the content of pollutants in exhaust gases.

Owners of vehicles temporarily imported into the territory of Azerbaijan will require confirmation of customs clearance as part of the temporary importation procedure.

This measure is aimed at ensuring the export of the vehicle from the territory of Azerbaijan after the period of temporary importation. This is due to the fact that Azerbaijan switched to the Euro4 environmental standard on April 1, 2014.

The list of documents that non-residents submit to customs authorities for vehicles and their trailers (semi-trailers) temporarily imported into the customs territory of Azerbaijan that do not comply with environmental and Euro 4 standards:

  • Explanation;
  • passport;
  • a document confirming the permanent registration of the vehicle in the country of departure (certificate of state registration);
  • permission of the owner of the vehicle to be used by another person;
  • Visa, if the vehicle is imported from countries with a visa regime or, if necessary, a temporary residence permit or a decision to extend the temporary stay in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Speed ​​limit

If the violation resulted in minor bodily injury or damage to property, the amount of the fine increases to 700 manat (343 euros) and restrictions on the right to drive a vehicle for up to 2 years.

Evasion of a person driving a vehicle from an investigation to check the state of intoxication, carried out in accordance with the procedure established by law, is punishable by a fine of 400 to 700 manats (196-343 euros) and restriction. driving license up to 2 years.

Gasoline

In Azerbaijan, prices for gasoline and diesel fuel AI-80 and AI-92 are regulated by the state.

Euro-95 premium gasoline (in accordance with Euro-5 environmental standards), not produced in Azerbaijan, is not included in the list of goods regulated by the state. Therefore, the sale takes place at free prices.
