Checking and replacing fuses
If any electrical devices do not work, turn the ignition key to the LOCK 0 position and check if any fuses are blown.
- Turn the ignition key to the LOCK 0 position. Turn off the headlights and all accessories.
- Remove the fuse box cover.
- Check the large fuse in the engine compartment. If the fuse is blown, use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screw and replace it with a new one.
- Inspect the small fuses in the engine compartment and in the passenger compartment. If there is a blown fuse, remove it with a fuse puller and replace it with a new one.
Note
Replacing a fuse with a higher rating greatly increases the chances of damaging the electrical system. If you do not have a spare fuse with the correct rating for the circuit, install a fuse with a lower rating.
Replace the fuse with a spare of the same amperage rating. Confirm the specified amperage using the tables.
There is a fuse puller on the back of the fuse box in the engine compartment.
