The price of motorway brands will remain unchanged until 2022, with reduced fees for vehicles running on natural gas or biomethane (even when combined with other fuels). WARNING: This price advantage does not apply to LPG vehicles.
The electronic highway stamp is still available in ten-day, monthly and yearly versions. All 3 options can be purchased three months in advance, upon purchase you can choose the date from which the stamp will be valid.
The annual motorway stamp is valid for 12 months from the date you have chosen.

On December 1, 2020, online sales of traffic stamps on edalnice.cz began in the new official one .
The purchase is simple, just select the type of motorway brand (year, 30 days, 10 days), enter the vehicle’s license plate and country of registration, select the start of the vignette, and possibly bid for an environmental price for biomethane vehicles. or natural gas. The last stage of the purchase is payment. Immediately after receiving confirmation of payment, you can leave the track.
At points of sale
Electronic stamps can be purchased at selected points of sale. When purchasing in person, the same data is entered as when buying online.
Self-service kiosks
Self-service kiosks are usually located mainly in the border areas before entering the toll section of the motorway. You can pay for an electronic stamp in them only by bank transfer.
Fines for speeding in the Czech Republic
Exceeding the maximum speed is the most punishable violation of traffic rules in our country. Automatic radars have also appeared in cities, sending fines to drivers directly in the mailbox. Compared to Europe, our fines are much lower.

Vignette fines
Checking stamps on motorways is carried out by Czech police patrols and customs officials through cameras in vehicles or at control gates. They will immediately see on the control tablet whether the car has bought a valid electronic motorway stamp or is fired.
Drivers driving on the motorway without a valid toll face a fine of up to 780 euros. If a driver announces a motorway toll exemption and is not eligible, they can be fined up to €3,900
Drivers of eligible vehicles who fail to report a legally mandated dismissal face a fine of up to 195 euros. If the driver fails to report within the prescribed time limit that the reasons for the exemption from the toll have expired, he can also receive a fine of up to 195 euros.

Vignettes 2022 exceptions
According to the Ministry of Transport, a vehicle is exempt from tolls if a person holding a ZTP or ZTP/P card is driving a car. In addition, vehicles are used to transport dependent children who are being treated for cancer or hemoblastosis.
From January 2020, electric, hydrogen and hybrid vehicles are exempt from tolls, provided that the CO2 content does not exceed 50 g/km. This dismissal occurs automatically if they are assigned a special license plate. If these vehicles do not have a special brand, a report must be submitted.
After the report, vehicles driven by homes for people with disabilities are also exempt from the fee if they are used to transport these people.
Driving fines in the Czech Republic
The points system has been in force in the Czech Republic since 2006. For accrued traffic violations, the driver is awarded from 2 to 7 points. The maximum number of points is 12.
Upon reaching 12 points, the so-called. by earning points, your driver’s license will be canceled for one year. After one year, you can apply for a driver’s license back. In this case, you will have a psychological examination, a medical examination and an examination at a driving school.
In addition to scoring points for an offense, fines are imposed on the spot or in administrative proceedings.
To find out the amount of points, you can request an extract at any CZECH POINT location, for example, at the Czech Post office. If you want to know the exact information about the offenses committed, you must contact the relevant office, where you will receive a more detailed extract from the register of offenses.
If you do not make another year after the last violation, 4 points will be deducted from your points account (if your account has less than 4 points, the score will be reset). With the so-called scoring and imposing a ban on driving, there is no time to withdraw points.

Tires

The Czech Republic has zero tolerance for alcohol in the blood.
